PRESS: Headline was clickbait

It is an absolutely fascinating study in covert manipulation to see today’s CDA Press front page article about the Fulcher fundraiser. 

At first glance, there is a photo of congressman Jim Jordan speaking. Next to it is the article title “Normal or crazy.” Who wouldn’t assume that the title meant Jim Jordan, or at least the event itself? Even if it wasn’t purposeful (which it probably was), it magically connected the picture with the perfect quoting of a quote from the evening. Unfortunately the context of the quote was buried deep in the article. 

This was brilliant “journalistic” maneuvering! Some might call it CLICKBAIT.
