| August 16, 2024 1:00 AM

An electric vehicle will be stopping in Coeur d'Alene today as part of a cross-country trip to showcase EVs.

"Our goal is to collect EV charging data to inform and improve the EV charging experience, ultimately helping to increase EV adoption," said Daphne Dixon, coalition director of Clean Transportation Communities of Western Connecticut, in a press release.

Dixon will be in a 2024 Chevy Equinox at the 76 gas station, 3840 N. Government Way at 3:30 p.m. today.

The journey started July 25 in Connecticut. It will run over 4,000 miles and cross 16 states, ending in Tacoma, Wash., on Sunday for the start of the Green Transportation Summit and Expo.
