Gorden Dean Newman, 59

Gorden “Deano” Newman passed away peacefully and pain-free Aug. 7, 2024. 

Deano was born in Havre, Mont., on Sept. 9, 1964. He then moved to North Idaho and grew up in Post Falls. Deano spent most of his adult life traveling the states, working and fishing any chance he got. He could build anything from houses to power plants. Deano had a passion for woodworking and creating beautiful pieces of art after he landed home in 2017. He dedicated his life to caring for his mother, Charlotte, after the passing of his father, Robert, in 2020. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with terminal cancer in March of 2024. 

Deano is survived by his mother, Charlotte, his daughters, Jennifer, Casey and CyntheA, his siblings, numerous nieces, nephews and all of his wonderful friends.

A memorial benefit to help pay for cremation costs will be held Sunday, Aug. 18, 2024, at 3 p.m., at Bob's 21 Club in Post Falls, Idaho.

Deano will be greatly missed by everyone.
