Fair bingo Aug. 24 to benefit Make-A-Wish Idaho

The North Idaho Fair and Rodeo Foundation will collaborate with Make-A-Wish Idaho for a bingo benefit from noon to 4 p.m. Aug. 24 at the North Idaho State Fair.

Participants will have opportunities to play three cards for $15. Additional cards will be $5 each. Players of all ages are welcome. Kids' cards will also be $5 each.

All proceeds from the bingo event will benefit Make-A-Wish Idaho and the North Idaho Fair and Rodeo Foundation. Participants will enjoy an afternoon of fun, prizes and the joy of making a difference in others' lives.

"Partnering with Make-A-Wish Idaho allows us to create a memorable and impactful experience for our community," Serena Caples, developmental director of the North Idaho Fair and Rodeo Foundation, said in a July 31 news release.

"We are excited to support the incredible work Make-A-Wish does for children facing critical illnesses," Caples said. "This bingo event is a fantastic way for everyone to get involved."

The bingo benefit will be held at the North Idaho State Fair VIP Tent on the west side of the fairgrounds.

Make-A-Wish Idaho's mission to grant life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses. The nonprofit serves children throughout the state, with offices in Post Falls, Boise and Pocatello. It grants over 100 wishes every year and has granted over 2,000 wishes since the chapter was founded. Make-A-Wish Idaho is one of 58 chapters across the United States.
