PARKS: Staff does a great job

I want to publicly acknowledge the tremendous work that our City Parks Department does to maintain the downtown parks. As someone who makes frequent visits to McKuen and City Park, I appreciate the hard work and dedication of our city employees. Despite the extreme heat and daily use these parks receive, they are kept in beautiful condition. When you add in the special events of the past few weeks, the job becomes even more difficult. 

Of course, none of this would be possible without our City Council providing adequate funding to our Parks Department. It truly is a team effort. 

To those workers who are out there doing the daily work, “Thank you.” Your hard work has not gone unnoticed.
