Vandal fundraiser event in Coeur d'Alene set for Aug. 22

COEUR d'ALENE — The annual Inland Empire Vandal Celebration, a fundraiser for the Vandal Scholarship Fund and Alumni Scholarships, is scheduled for Aug. 22 at the Hagadone Event Center at The Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf Course.

Idaho football coach Jason Eck, Vandal men's basketball coach Alex Pribble, athletic director Terry Gawlik and Dr. Andrew Fields, CEO of the University of Idaho Coeur d'Alene, are listed as special guests. 

The event begins with a no-host cocktail reception and silent auction at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 and the program at 8. 

Cost is $100 per person.

Post Falls Lions Club Foundation to host fundraiser tournament

POST FALLS — The Post Falls Lions Club Foundation is hosting a fundraiser golf tournament for the second straight year, scheduled for Sept. 14 at Prairie Falls Golf Club.

Check-in and registration begins at 8 a.m., followed by a best-ball tourney featuring two hole-in-one prizes: a side-by-side sponsored by Matheus Lumber and $10,000 hole-in-one sponsored by Northwest Tree Care.

"We are thrilled to bring back our golf tournament for another year," said Larry Luther, president of the Post Falls Lions Club and tournament organizer. "This event is a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together, enjoy a day on the course, and support the important work of the Post Falls Lions Club Foundation."

All proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Post Falls Lions Club Foundation, which supports various charitable initiatives in the community, including vision and hearing programs, scholarships, and disaster relief efforts.
