Bennett, a rising sophomore, won the 1.76-mile Long Bridge Swim on Saturday, finishing in 36 minutes. “Owen is all-in when it comes to his dedication to swimming,” CAST head coach Alicia Thornton said. “He’s been training six days a week, often attending practices two times a day during the summer to prepare for distance races and longer open swims. His work ethic and dedication is what led to his success on Saturday, and it was really nice to see.”
