Wayne and Carolyn Woodworth
Combined Memorial – Wayne & Carolyn Woodworth:
On Friday, Aug. 9, we will be gathering to celebrate the lives well lived by Carolyn and Wayne Woodworth.
Carolyn Alice Woodworth passed away June 17, 2023. Her husband, Wayne Harlow Woodworth, passed away Jan. 6, 2024. They met in Yakima, Wash., and began their life of ministry together in 1960. In this pursuit, they pastored churches in Deer Park, Wash.; Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; Pendleton, Ore.; Stratton, Colo.; Redding, Calif., and Colville, Wash.
Carolyn sought to help others in every capacity she was able. Through the years, she became a CNA and a licensed daycare provider. Likewise, Wayne worked hard to support the family and involved himself in the community, whether driving school buses, working in the Pendleton Woolen Mills, or in the Stratton CO-OP. After 25 years of ministry and community service, Wayne and Carolyn worked together as directors of a Senior Living Facility and helped charter Assisted Living Facilities.
Carolyn and Wayne retired from the community of Newport, Wash., to be closer to family. They put their natural talent of making something out of nothing to work on a plot of land on Coyote Trail Road with an old trailer home. Many friends and family members helped to convert it into the home they shared for some 25 years. Only health issues, and the desire to be together until the end, could take them off that hillside.
Carolyn and Wayne are survived by their son, Mark (Lynette) Woodworth of Hayden, Idaho; daughter Teresa (Eric) Stone of Clinton, Mass.; grandchildren Andrew (Ashley) Woodworth, Aubrey (Jared) Crist, Alysse Woodworth, Emily Stone, Sarah Stone and Nathan Stone and extended family from the Woodworth, Power and Easter families. They were preceded in death by beloved daughter Patricia Woodworth Kroll and infant sons Kenny and Michael Woodworth.
Please join the children and grandchildren in a celebration of Wayne and Carolyn Woodworth’s love and lives Friday, Aug. 9, at 3 p.m. at English Funeral Chapel, 1133 N. Fourth St., Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814. A coffee and punch reception will follow. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. Revelation 21:4.
