Phyllis Marie Dixon Blain, 92

Phyllis Marie Dixon Blain passed away peacefully at her home July 23, 2024. Phyllis was born in Knowles, Okla., on June 14, 1932, to Robert and Daile Dixon. She spent her childhood in Oklahoma City, where she attended elementary school and high school. 

In her early 20s, she and a girlfriend decided to see the country and ended up in Spokane, Wash. She met her husband-to-be on a blind date and married him a year later. They were blessed with three wonderful children. She was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother. Her unique sense of humor was much appreciated. She was fortunate to have traveled all over the world with her husband in his work.

She and Harold lived in Moscow, Idaho, for 37 years before downsizing and moving to Hayden, where they lived for 21 years.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Robert, James and Larry, and her son, David.

She is survived by her husband of 68 1/2 years, Harold, her brother, Mike (Tammy), daughter Linda (Steve), son Tim (Maggie), six grandchildren, and nine and a half great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held for friends and family at Moscow Cemetery, 1650 Troy Highway, on Friday, Aug. 2, at 2 p.m.
