POLICE: Thanks for being here

Dear Coeur d’Alene Police,

It’s us again, Children’s Village. Dispatch said we need you, again. I know what you’re thinking that it’s annoying. We completely agree but thank you for showing up again.

We try to not call, we really do. We have as many staff as we can afford, but our community families keep needing us and so we say yes.

These kids need us, there’s no one else. Our residents are in survival mode, and it’s hard. 

Here’s the thing though: you just showed them that they are wrong. Law enforcement isn’t bad, they’re kind and can help. 

So, our April 17 officers who helped to keep two of our littles safe, we thank you. We know this might not be how you saw your day going, but you made a difference.

Our kids see you and they’re watching. We appreciate you.
