Patriot Front members cited for illegal stickering in Wallace

WALLACE — Two men were cited Friday for placing Patriot Front stickers on the windows of several downtown Wallace businesses.

Multiple businesses complained to the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office after discovering the stickers, which promoted Patriot Front, a white nationalist group.

Deputies located the men who allegedly placed the stickers, both of whom said they were members of Patriot Front, according to the SCSO.

The men were spotted taking photos of the stickers after placing them at Mountain West Bank, according to branch manager Gina Doerschel.

“We don’t want anyone to see these pictures that show our business logo and think that we support this group or their beliefs in any way," Doerschel said.

The sheriff’s office had not released the names of the two men as of Monday afternoon.

Placing promotional material on private property without permission is a misdemeanor in Idaho, punishable by up to a year in county jail and a fine of up to $1,000.

In 2022, police arrested 31 members of Patriot Front who were riding together in a U-Haul truck, reportedly en route to disrupt the annual Pride in the Park celebration in downtown Coeur d’Alene.

Seven Patriot Front members were later convicted of conspiracy to riot, a misdemeanor, while 20 others entered admissions to the infraction of failure to obtain a parade permit. Two cases were dismissed and four Patriot Front members have bench warrants out for their arrest.
