Barbara Ann Keyes, 94

Barbara Anne Keyes, of Rathdrum, Idaho, died of COPD on March 27, 2024, at Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, at the age of 94.

She was born Feb. 18, 1930, in Martinsburg, W.Va., to Walter Scott Keys Jr. and Mary Priscilla Noll Keys. She married Floyd Melvin Keyes on Aug. 28, 1949.

 Her surviving family members are son Bradly Allen Keyes, daughter Rhonda Marie Gallegos and five grandchildren, Tina Carney, Darren Gallegos, Jesse Gallegos, Toby Gallegos and Levi Gallegos. Her great-grandchildren are James Carney, Shaun Carney, Gianna Gallegos, Trey Gallegos, Maverick Gallegos, Bronx Gallegos, Aaron Gallegos and Charli Gallegos. She has a large group of Keys (With only one “E”) relatives, including five nieces (Gail, Terri, Marcia, Anita and Sandy). They have numerous children and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Floyd Melvin Keyes. Also, their daughters, Cynthia Keyes, and an infant named Rebecca Keyes. Her parents and brother Scott Keys also preceded her in death.

Barbara is peacefully waiting for the time very soon when Jehovah will call for her to awaken from sleep in the resurrection.

A memorial will be held April 27 at 2 p.m. at the Rathdrum Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 8162 W. Nagel Lane, Rathdrum, ID 83858. There will also be a Zoom link for those who are not able to attend in person. Please call Steve Soper at 208-215-5302 for Zoom information.

One of her favorite scriptures was Isaiah 65:17, 18. But please, read the whole chapter and see what Jehovah God promises.
