Holly Vanessa Kincaid, 68

Holly passed away in her home April 7, 2024. She was born Dec. 17, 1955, in Yakima, Wash., to Stanley E. and Leatrice N. Bunn. The family moved to Chula Vista, Calif., in 1958 and in 1963, they moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.  

Holly grew up loving the outdoors, including riding horses and 4-H, and enjoyed dances at the Meadowbrook community hall. She continued to show horses and attended many horse shows throughout her life. 

Holly graduated in 1973 from Coeur d’Alene High School and continued her education at the University of Idaho, where she earned a master's degree in economics and special education. She taught special education at every grade level in the Spokane and Coeur d’Alene area. 

In 1977, she married David C. Kincaid. In 1982, they were both blessed with a son, Brian C. Kincaid. Once again, in 2012, she was further blessed with a grandson, Nathan, who immediately became the most important person in her life.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Leatrice, and her brothers, David and David Kincaid. She will be survived and missed by her son, Brian Kincaid, grandson Nathan, her sister, Pricilla Baker, and many nieces, nephews and friends. A service remembering her life will be held April 21, 2024, at 2 p.m. at the Meadowbrook Hall in Cougar Gulch.
