NIC softball games rescheduled

COEUR d'ALENE — Due to anticipated poor field conditions in the area, North Idaho College has moved today's softball doubleheader vs. Community Colleges of Spokane at Memorial Field to Sunday at noon at Post Falls High.

Also, NIC rescheduled the postponed April 6 doubleheader against Yakima Valley for Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Memorial Field.


Idaho women announce addition of McCliment-Call, three others

MOSCOW — Idaho women's basketball coach Carrie Eighmey announced the addition of four transfers for the 2024-25 season, including former Post Falls High standout Tyler McCliment-Call.

McCliment-Call, Olivia Nelson and Jennifer Aadland will join the Vandals for their graduate seasons. Hope Hassmann will transfer in with three years of eligibility remaining. 

McCliment-Call, a 6-foot guard, played the last three seasons at Stephen F. Austin State in Nagidoces, Texas. 

This past season, she played in all 34 games, starting 33, and averaged 8.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.4 steals per game. She led the team with 51 3-pointers.

McCliment-Call started in all 34 games as a junior and averaged 7.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game, as well as a team-high 50 3s.

In her sophomore season, McCliment-Call appeared in 31 games and averaged 3.4 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game.

She played at the University of Portland as a freshman, seeing action in 25 games.

"We are super excited to add Tyler to our roster," Eighmey said. "She is a versatile multi-position player who has been highly effective on both ends of the floor at the collegiate level. She's tough, physical, and a really good defender. She's a fierce competitor with a championship mentality."

McCliment-Call played two seasons at Post Falls. As a sophomore, she helped the Trojans win the state 5A title in 2018. She played her last two seasons at University High in Spokane Valley, and was All-Greater Spokane League First Team as a senior.

Nelson, a 5-6 guard, played four seasons at the University of Central Missouri. She averaging 14.7 points, 4.1 assists, and 2.9 rebounds as a senior for the Jennies.

Aadland, a 6-1 forward, played four seasons at Augustana University. As a senior, she started in all 27 games and averaged 10.8 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. 

Hassmann, a 5-8 guard from Tahoma High in Maple Valley, Wash., played one season at Cal State Fullerton. As a true freshman, she started in all 31 games, averaging 9.2 points per game, the third highest on the team.
