Chamber slates Next Gen Tech Summit

COEUR d'ALENE — The Coeur d’Alene Regional Chamber's Next Generation Tech Summit, "Unveiling the Age of Entanglement," is scheduled Wednesday, April 24, from 8 to 11:30 a.m. at The Coeur d'Alene Resort. 

The event "promises to unravel the complexities of digital evolution," according to a press release, focusing on artificial intelligence, automation and robotics and cybersecurity.

"We stand on the brink of a transformative era of innovation where the convergence of humans and technology is blurring traditional boundaries," said Linda Coppess, president/CEO of the Coeur d’Alene Regional Chamber.

Speakers include John C. Shovic, director of the Center for Intelligent Industrial Robotics at the University of Idaho, and Ed Vasco, director of the Institute for Pervasive Cybersecurity at Boise State University.

There will also be panel discussions that include businesses that are using AI, robotics and cybersecurity. 

"A vibrant technology showcase will feature forward-thinking companies at the forefront of technological innovation, providing attendees with the opportunity to engage firsthand with solutions that amplify human potential and organizational efficiency," the press release said.

Dr. Roland S. Kent, one of the panelists, is a co-founder of Axis Spine Center. He said, "staying informed and leveraging available technologies are essential for remaining competitive." 

Tina Peralta, CEO of Exbabylon Professional IT Solutions and the event's presenting sponsor, said it's important for  businesses to embrace cutting-edge technology.

"It’s time for North Idaho businesses to take the leap in disrupting the way we do business and embrace this chance to be leaders," she said.

The summit will wrap up with "compelling discussion around real-world cases of innovation across multiple industries in North Idaho."
