Clark Albritton recently announced his candidacy for Coeur d’Alene City Council Seat 3.

“My wife and I have greatly enjoyed the blessings of raising our children in the beauty and tranquility of our wonderful community and pristine environment, and I am now seeking to give back in service to protect it,” Albritton said in a news release.

Albritton is a 24-year resident of Coeur d’Alene, married 31 years, a father of two and he is active in his 30-plus year career in technology and services consulting in cloud computing.

“The same outside influences that have ravaged other cities are now determined to do the same thing here. City government must not be hijacked by radical social agendas under populist banners serving the few while ignoring the many,” said Albritton’s news release. “It is not the role of city governments to promote chaos, but to fiscally and responsibly manage the services necessary for a healthy community.”

Albritton said Coeur d’Alene is growing beyond the capacity of its current infrastructure.

“We cannot continue to ignore the quality of life and risk to the natural environment that comes with out-of-control growth. The voices of the citizens who live and work here, paying fees and taxes that fund the city government, their voices must be the greatest influence on the city council,” he said in the release. “I will be that voice for the people. We must demand sustainable, slow growth and protect Coeur d'Alene from going the way of the cities people came here to escape.”
