COEUR d'ALENE — The Parade of Homes presented by the North Idaho Building Contractor's Association continues this weekend.

It runs noon to 6 p.m. today, 11 a.m.to 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

It is billed as "a fantastic opportunity to view houses built by a variety of builders, all with unique and impressive custom work."

There are 24 homes from 19 builders to visit.

Levi Snyder, NIBCA president, said the Parade of Homes has a 40-year tradition of showcasing the latest floor plans and technologies.

"Whether you're a seasoned Parade-goer or this will be your first time attending, we guarantee that you won't want to miss this incredible event," Snyder wrote.

Featured homes include "Snowbrush" by Hayden Homes in Rathdrum; "The Kingston," by Greenstone in Post Falls; and "The Cameron" by Architerra in Coeur d'Alene.

"The Sparrow" at 804 E. Lakeside Ave. by Stancraft Construction Group has more than 3,600 square feet. It boasts oak flooring, wood ceilings, quartz counters and has a rooftop lounge. It is "For those looking for the extraordinary."

Kadee McGwier, Parade of Homes chair, wrote that the past year has been challenging for the home building sector due to rising material costs and interest rates, and regulatory hurdles.

"The building industry's contribution to the regional and national economy is significant," McGwier wrote.

The Parade of Homes in the Sandpoint area is set for 11 to 6 Sept. 30 and 11 to 4 Oct. 1.
