PREP ROUNDUP: Timberlake pushes back in second half to topple Moscow

| September 16, 2023 1:05 AM

MOSCOW — Tied 14-14 at halftime, Timberlake was tired of being pushed around up front, and started pushing back.

Timberlake, limited to 64 yards rushing in the first half, finished the night with 256, including touchdown runs of 73 yards by Caius Tebbe and 55 yards by Vaughn Higgins to move past the Moscow Bears 38-28 at Bear Field on Friday.

“It really just came down to our offensive line,” Timberlake coach Kelly Amos said. “We just took control of the game in the second half, and our line really helped create that.”

Tebbe ran for 113 yards on the night, also scoring on a 16-yard run in the first quarter.

“Caius just has really great speed,” Amos said. “He was doing a great job of getting to the corner. He had a really good night for us.”

Timberlake (3-2) hosts St. Maries next Friday.
