Alice Ann Adams, 83

Alice Ann Adams passed away peacefully Sept. 2, 2023, at her home in Athol, Idaho, in the presence of beloved family members.

Alice was born Aug. 19, 1940, in Kansas City, Mo., to parents Dorothy and Lawrence Schone. She was raised in Kansas City, Kansas, with her two younger brothers, Donald and Hugh. Alice graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1958.

She married Larry Adams at the Trinity Methodist Church in Kansas City, Kansas, on Aug. 12, 1961. They moved to La Verne, Calif., in 1963, where they had three daughters, Kristen, Karyn and Kendra. In addition to being an active member of the PTA, Alice served as the president of the Junior Women’s Club, where she organized many conventions and fundraising events. Alice started her career in 1983 as a health clerk for the Bonita Unified School District and worked there for 30 years.

When their eldest daughter moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, in 1989, Alice and Larry came to visit and fell in love with the beauty of the area. They traveled to Coeur d’Alene every summer and eventually purchased a home in the Fort Grounds neighborhood. In 2001, Alice and Larry purchased a homestead in Athol to plant their roots. Their legacy at Sage Creek Ranch will continue to be passed along for generations to come.

Alice was active in the B.A.B.S. and Button clubs and will always be remembered for her sweet and frequent smile. She took great pride in her 10 grandchildren and her great-granddaughter, Aurora.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry, grandson Ryan and granddaughter Audra.
