COEUR d'ALENE — The annual Coeur d'Fondo, benefiting the North Idaho Centennial Trail Foundation, gets back in the saddle for another year next Saturday, Sept. 16

Rides of several distances begin and end on Sherman Avenue near Second Street next to the lawn in front of The Coeur d'Alene Resort.

This year's event offers five rides, varying from 14 to 116 miles.

The longest, Gran Fondo, heads east around the lake toward Harrison. Riders can complete a loop out along the Coeur d'Alene River and the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes with views of the Chain Lakes.

The Family Fondo is 14 miles to Higgens Point and back.

Centro and Piccolo riders will enjoy a boat cruise either to or from Harrison.

Aid stations, tech support and chip timing are part of the package.

Coeur d'Fondo benefits the North Idaho Centennial Trail Foundation.
