SPIRIT LAKE — Junior forward Lucy Simpson had a way of being in the right place on Wednesday afternoon in Timberlake’s Intermountain League match against visiting Priest River.

Simpson scored the final five goals for the Tigers in a 6-0 win over the Spartans, improving the Tigers to 6-0 overall and 4-0 in league play.

“Lucy always finds her way to the right spot on the field,” Timberlake coach Steve Michael said. “We were very challenged in the first half and didn’t really find the back of the net. Priest River played a different game than we were expecting and our players were challenged like we haven’t been all season.”

Paige McConkey scored in the 38th minute for Timberlake, which travels to Bonners Ferry on Friday.
