“It was a good bounce back from the Lake City match,” said Coeur d’Alene coach Andy Vredenburg, whose team fell 4-1 to the Timberwolves last Saturday at Viking Field. “We played with a chip on our shoulder, moved the ball well and put some shots away. I was really proud of the ladies today.”
Ella Morton scored in the 47th minute for Coeur d’Alene (3-1, 3-1 IEL), which travels to Moscow in a nonleague game next Thursday.
“The girls came out and won a lot of the 50/50 balls, and that’s really what turned the tides for us,” Vredenburg said. “We just competed.”
