ELECTION: Vote for Tenbrink

This weekend I met Heather Tenbrink, a conservative, who is running for Coeur d’Alene Public Schools trustee in Zone 3. Ms. Tenbrink was articulate and focused on the needs of our schools and community. Heather is dedicating herself to working toward increasing rigorous academics for our students, parent involvement in our schools, fair and competitive pay for teachers, and working to make the budget easier to understand.

As an experienced school trustee, Ms. Tenbrink knows the existing board of trustees and believes she has been able to bridge board differences on some issues. In the current political climate, that is a valuable asset. We need a functioning school board.

Ms. Tenbrink, an accountant, knows that it is important for all of the citizens to have access to an understandable budget. The budget and external audits are already posted on the Coeur d’Alene Schools website. But Heather Tenbrink knows that every business has unique accounts and terminology. Ms. Tenbrink is dedicating herself to building community understanding in these areas.

The Coeur d’Alene Schools Strategic Plan focuses on student performance. Every person in every field can always find ways to improve what they do. Schools are no exception. There is an old adage in education “when people know better, they do better.” Heather Tenbrink wants all of the students to have the best education so they can achieve great things after they graduate.

Heather Tenbrink has a strong plan as a board trustee. A vote for Heather Tenbrink is a vote for great schools.
