BEESLEY: Newspaper should respond

Regarding Nina Beesley’s letter published on Oct. 20. She claims you misrepresented the facts about comments she made. I don’t have a dog in that fight. I am not following the issue. My comment is why doesn’t The Press respond to such accusations.

If you feel you represented the facts correctly, defend those comments and tell why, if not say what you could have done better. If you feel Ms. Beesley’s letter was bunch of hogwash don’t publish it. I rarely see letters to the editor having a need to be commented on by papers but if there is a legitimate accusation made maybe that would be appropriate.
