PREP VOLLEYBALL: Munday pushes Trojans to Saturday play-in match
POST FALLS — Senior Kylie Munday had 11 kills, 20 assists, eight digs and three blocks for the second-seeded Post Falls Trojans in a 25-16, 25-19, 25-18 win over the fourth-seeded Lewiston Bengals in the 5A Region 1 second-place match at The Arena on Thursday.
Post Falls (29-6) advances to a state play-in match at Grangeville High on Saturday against Middleton, the sixth-place team from District 3.
Junior Trinity Byrne had 10 kills, freshman Lucy Carr 13 assists, senior Maleah Wilhelm three blocks and junior Lexi Norisada 10 digs and two aces for Post Falls.

COEUR d’ALENE — The top-seeded Miners advanced to a state 1A Division I play-in match with a four set win over the second-seeded Jaguars in the District 1 championship match at North Idaho College.
Wallace (22-3) will face Victory Charter (13-6) of Nampa, the third-place team from District 3 at noon on Saturday at Grangeville High, with the winner advancing to state starting next Friday at Lewis-Clark State College.
Genesis Prep finished 17-6.

COEUR d’ALENE — The Wampus Cats swept the Warriors to win the 1A Division II District 1 championship at North Idaho College, advancing to a state play-in match on Saturday.
Clark Fork (7-9) will face Rockland (19-5), the third-place team from District 5-6 on Saturday at Fruitland High.
