KCRCC: Look at their track record before voting

| October 13, 2023 1:00 AM

I have read with some interest the recommendations for the election in November. It appears the KCRCC has one slate of candidates. All the other groups that look at experience, past public service and time living in this area are recommending other candidates.

I hope the voters in this area will remember that the KCRCC recommended the NIC trustees that have caused the near loss of accreditation, library trustees that use religious reasons to close the libraries on Sunday (What happened to separation of Church and State) and an assessor that raised the assessed value of all our property thus decreasing the benefit of the homeowner’s exemption. The assessor’s act was a benefit to all non-homeowners and those homeowners with the most expensive houses. It hurts those of us with moderately priced homes.

Please, when you receive the KCRCC voter recommendation card remember the results of their past recommendations.
