Man arrested on stalking, probation violation charges

HAYDEN — A Hayden man was arrested Monday on warrants for first-degree stalking and a probation violation, according to the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office.

Robert J. Clemens, 41, was taken into custody about 1:15 p.m., a KCSO press release said.

Clemens was on felony probation for stalking after being found guilty of the crime in 2021.

"Recently, he began exhibiting similar behavior with a new victim," the release said.

Additional arrest warrants for Clemens were granted for first-degree stalking and a felony probation violation, the release said.

After an extensive search, KCSO deputies and detectives found Clemens in Hayden and he was booked into the county jail Monday.
