Judy E. Clark, 80
On Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023, Judy Clark, loving wife and mother of three children, passed away at the age of 80.
Judy was born Oct. 7, 1943, in Spokane, Wash., to Earl and Etta May (Johnson) De Mills. She received an Associate of Arts degree from North Idaho College in 1986. She worked as a pharmacy assistant at Modern Drug and Tidyman's Pharmacy for many years before becoming a teacher's assistant at Hayden Elementary and Post Falls Elementary teaching special needs children. On Feb. 13, 1961, she married Joseph N. Clark. They raised two sons, Joseph and Robert, and one daughter, Deborah. They both retired in 2007 and spent their first 13 years of retirement between Coeur d'Alene and Arizona.
She chose to work with special needs children because they needed extra help and attention and she felt she could provide that to help them progress, and she did. Not the easiest job, but one in which she felt real satisfaction.
Judy was a very loving person, deeply devoted to her husband and family. She was also a very happy person, liked instantly by almost everybody she met. She was blessed with a beautiful smile and a laugh that immediately caught people's attention. Hearing it, but not seeing her, people knew instantly who it was and would seek her out.
Among her many interests were crocheting, gardening, reading and taking trips to different places with her husband.
Judy was preceded in death by her father, Earl, and her mother, Etta May. She is survived by her husband, Joe, and their three children, Joseph, Robert and Deborah, her brother, Daryl, sisters Barbara and Lavonne, nine grandkids, 15 great-grandkids, six nieces and nephews, nine great nieces and nephews and several in-laws.
There will be a celebration of life late this spring or early summer when the weather is warmer. The family gratefully declines flowers and donations, but prayers, condolences and memories are gladly accepted in her online tribute at www.englishfuneralchapel.com.
