Lucille Virginia King-Schoeckert, 99

Lucille Virginia King-Schoeckert passed away Sept. 28, 2023, at the age of 99, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.  

Born on Dec. 4, 1923, in Noble, Okla., to her parents, Carl and Cora Miller. She had four sisters, survived by her youngest, Elizabeth Stricker.

Lucille is a remarkable individual who touched many lives. She had a successful career as a realtor associate broker. Her passion for others extended beyond her professional life. Lucille was also a certified Silva Method instructor, which she was very passionate about, sharing her knowledge and empowering others. 

In addition to her professional pursuits, Lucille was a devoted member of the Daughters of the Nile for over 50 years. She was also a member of Lifeway Chapel in Post Falls as well as the Gideon Auxiliary. Her faith played an important role in her life, providing her with guidance and strength.  

Lucille was deeply connected to the military community. As a widow of two retired veterans, Lt. Col. John H. King and Commander Robert D. Schoeckert USN, she understood the sacrifices made by those who serve. Her love and support of the military were evident throughout her life.

Lucille will be missed by her surviving children, Cherron J. Finch, Kenneth W. King, John H. King II, David A. King; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Their lives were enriched by Lucille’s presence and her memory will live in their hearts forever.

Lucille’s legacy of faith, kindness, dedication, and love will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known her. Her favorite goodbye saying was “Keep the Love flowing … it’s contagious.”

Lucille’s “Celebration of Life” service will be held Saturday, Dec. 2, at 11 a.m., at Lifeway Chapel, 501 West 15th Ave., Post Falls, Idaho, and followed by lunch in the Lifeway Chapel Fellowship Hall.  Please join us in honor of this amazing lady.
