Poe-Hatten, a freshman from Kalispell, Mont., won the 184-pound championship at the Spokane Open on Sunday at The Podium, beating Caleb Warner of NAIA Providence 10-8. “Noah had a heck of a day,” NIC coach Derrick Booth said. “He had a lot of tough kids in his bracket and he was able to get some tough wins. It was definitely a big confidence boost for him. We’ve known how good he is since he came here, and now he’s coming into his own.”
