Free meals on Thanksgiving

COEUR d'ALENE — Free meals are being offered at two Kootenai County locations on Thanksgiving.

The Altar Church, 901 E. Best Ave., will serve a Thanksgiving dinner from 1 to 3:30 p.m. 

People are free to drop in and enjoy food and fellowship in the decorated hall. For those in need of transportation, delivery or carryout, call 208-771-4037 or email altarfoodbank@gmail.com.

The event generally attracts a few hundred people.

A "Heart and Hands" Thanksgiving community outreach offering a holiday meal is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. at The Cove, 510 S. Clearwater Loop Suite 100, Post Falls.
