Wine for the Holidays on Saturday

COEUR d'ALENE — What better way is there than to start your holiday shopping by doing it while wine tasting? 

The Coeur d'Alene Downtown Association's annual Wine for the Holidays wine tasting event is scheduled 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday. 

Sip and shop your way through local boutiques, home decor shops and bakeries.

Downtown stores will have special offerings, live music, complimentary gift wrapping and prize drawings. 

Bear Cave is offering free bear hugs, Migliore Olive will have blood orange brownies and All Things Irish will have homemade scones and a "Pot of Gold" sale.

Online tickets are $20 and include six 1-ounce tastings and a commemorative wine glass.

Limited tickets may be available for purchase at the door for $25.
