    Courtesy photo The Coeur d'Alene Lady Thunder won their third hockey tournament of the year last year, the 16U Jetspeed Division of the CCM Detroit Girls Invite. Jessica Bobiles of the Thunder was named Howie’s Hockey MVP. The Thunder lost in their opening game of the weekend, but allowed just four goals in four wins that brought them to the final, where they shut out Belle Tire of Michigan 5-0 to win the championship. The Timbers began play for the Elite Academy League (EAL) U15 boys division on Nov. 4 and have had two games each weekend thus far with a record of 3 wins, 1 tie and 0 losses. On Saturday, Nov. 11, they beat the Liverpool FC International Academy 09 team 4-0 at Real Life fields in Post Falls, with goals scored by Isaac Lowder, Kason Foreman, Mason Taylor and Rowan Wyatt. Grant Johnson had the shutout in goal. On Sunday, Nov. 12, the Timbers won again 4-1 against the Titans FC at the Real Life fields in Post Falls. Rowan Wyatt had three assists on goals by Mason Taylor, Isaac Lowder and Brooks Judd. Judd had an assist to Jacob Shaporda for the final goal. Grant Johnson had seven saves for the Timbers.
