In her third straight top-three finish, Currie shot 74 and 76 for a 6-over 150. It is the second time she’s received the award (Oct. 9). Lewis-Clark State resumes its season in the spring.
Ashley Kaufman
Central Washington volleyball
Kaufman, a senior outside hitter from Lake City High, surpassed 1,000 career digs in Saturday’s 30-28, 29-27, 25-22 sweep of Western Oregon in Monmouth, Ore. “It’s fitting AK got her 1,000th dig when our defense was key tonight,” Central Washington coach Mario Andaya said. “We had some relentless defensive play to keep us in each set and AK was clutch. To get 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in a career is rare and we are all happy for her.”
