One arrested in Dollar Tree fire
COEUR d'ALENE — A person was arrested in connection to a fire outside Dollar Tree on Tuesday.
Coeur d'Alene firefighters responded to a reported structure fire at 406 W. Neider Avenue about 5 p.m.
Craig Etherton, Coeur d'Alene deputy fire marshal, said a good Samaritan moved a flaming stack of cardboard away from a loading ramp at the building with a pallet jack prior to the fire department's arrival.
Etherton said the fire was intentionally set, with three separate ignition points in three separate areas.
Police arrested a male on second-degree arson charges, Etherton said.
The exterior of the building sustained minor damage. No injuries were reported.
