MEYER AND McCREA: Gratitude for service; respect for integrity

| May 21, 2023 1:00 AM

I attended the Community Library Network board meeting where Judy Meyer and Regina McCrea received public comment as board trustees for the last time. It was important for me to show support for these two amazing individuals who were sadly unseated in the recent election. I wanted to make sure I personally thanked them for their years of service and continued desire to fight for our community’s freedom of choice and for the honesty and integrity they displayed during the entire election despite being faced with evil lies and persistent insults.

Once again, the KCRCC successfully injected partisan politics into a nonpartisan election. They turned the election into a battleground that was controlled by deception with candidates used as pawns to fulfill the agenda of outside influencers. Their endorsement of these candidates shows that most times in politics, experience and qualifications do not matter.

Judy and Regina refused to play that political game and ultimately lost their seats, but they didn’t lose their integrity. They now join the ranks of many former local elected officials who showed true leadership by not compromising their honor for political gain. For me and many other respectful citizens in our community, we consider that to be the win.
