Hannah Black and Kalli DeLeonard are the second seed in girls doubles … “Timberline is really good and Boise has a lot of really good players,” Coeur d’Alene boys coach Corey DeLeonard said. “Lewiston’s No. 1 (Dylan Gomez) is really good and (Coeur d’Alene’s) Turner Cox played really good against him, but he doesn’t make many mistakes. You need to be able to take advantage when he does, because it doesn’t happen often. At regionals, we lost a few players that could have helped us at state because we ended up playing each other in the consolation round. Our kids have stepped up and are ready for the challenge this week.” … Last week's Coeur d'Alene was named an academic state champion in 5A boys tennis by the Idaho High School Activities Association. The Vikings posted a team GPA of 3.838.
