Bikers plan to visit fire stations

COEUR d'ALENE — The Coeur d’Alene Fire Department and the city's Pedestrian and Bike Committee will host a community bike ride starting at 10:30 a.m. Friday.

It will start at Fire Station 1 at Third and Foster Avenue and continue through town with visits to fire stations 2 and 4.

People are welcome to ride along and learn about fire trucks, ambulances and safety from local firefighters.

Water and snacks will be available.

On Sunday, cyclists are welcome to meet at 10 a.m. behind Michael D's Eatery, 203 E. Coeur D'Alene Lake Drive, for a ride on Forest Service roads around the Wolf Lodge area. Expect hills, mud, snow, and gravel along the way.
