Glenn H. Johnson, 88

Glenn Harrison Johnson, 88, passed away April 24, 2023, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, due to prostate cancer and congestive heart failure. Glenn was born Dec. 10, 1934, in Grangeville, Idaho, to Axel and Ellen Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Julia Decker, his brothers, Oscar and Robert Johnson, and his sister, Evelyn Brown.

Glenn was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Korea from 1955-1957. After his military service, Glenn attended Idaho State University from 1953-1954 and the University of Idaho from 1957-1958.

Glenn owned and operated O'Brien's Cocktail Lounge in Lewiston, Idaho, from 1959-95. After retiring, he moved to Spokane, Wash., until he settled in Coeur d'Alene in 2005.

Glenn was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching Gonzaga basketball. He cherished spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who he dearly loved. Glenn also enjoyed visits with lifelong friends and classmates.

Glenn is survived by his daughters, Susan Randall, Tracy Kidd and Tina Johnson, his son, Steven Johnson, four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

No service is planned for Glenn. His remains will be interred next to his family at Prairie View Cemetery in Grangeville, Idaho.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Schneidmiller Hospice House of North Idaho in Coeur d'Alene.
