North Idaho Republicans announces election endorsements

North Idaho Republicans announced its endorsements for the Tuesday, May 16 election.

“North Idaho Republicans believe the following levies and candidates appear to be aligned with traditional conservative Republican principles, and we are pleased to recommend and endorse the following,” said a news release.

Coeur d’Alene school levy - Yes

Lakeland school levy - Yes

Community Library District Trustees - Judy Meyer, Regina McCrea

Kootenai Health District Trustee - Thomas R. deTar (vote for one only)

Lakes Highway District - Michael Curry

Post Falls Highway District - Lynn Humphreys

Worley Highway District - Phil Cooper

“Our community is on the ballot. We all use schools, roads, hospitals and libraries. It doesn’t get any more local than that,” said the release. “North Idaho Republicans supports candidates based on their demonstrated competence and high ethical standards. Don’t let these community assets fall into the wrong hands and become another NIC debacle.”

North Idaho Republicans is a regional Republican association of longtime, local Republicans, "a group with traditional Republican values, like those embodied by Ronald Reagan," the release said. "North Idaho Republicans was formed in spring of 2022 to actively support qualified candidates who best exemplify conservative Republican principles. We are not associated with the KCRCC or the Idaho Freedom Foundation.”
