NIC SOFTBALL: Cardinals sweep Columbia Basin; Walla Walla up next
COEUR d’ALENE — North Idaho College freshman Hayden Rockwell had four hits, including two home runs in the Cardinals 11-5 win over the Columbia Basin Hawks in the first game of a Northwest Athletic Conference sweep at Memorial Field on Wednesday.
Kani Korok had two hits in the second game in NIC’s 11-0 win in the second game.
NIC (28-9, 20-4 NWAC) returns home today to face Walla Walla in a doubleheader at 2 p.m. The game was moved up due to inclement weather in the forecast for Saturday.
Columbia Basin is 28-12, 18-8.
