ELECTIONS: Vote yes on levy; Vote for Meyer and McCrea

Idaho ranks 50th out of 50 states in spending per child on education. There is no fat. Idaho defines the bottom, the least that can be spent on children, our future, in the United States.

We are struggling here; libraries and staff under siege, an unholy mess created by the Board of Trustees at NIC, a 14th century approach to obstetrics and pediatrics by the state legislature, and a rising tide of extremism disguised as religious patriotism. It is hard to blame the people who are leaving, or considering leaving, the area. It is very hard to watch valued institutions willfully being degraded, if not destroyed, a future at risk.

We have the collective power to turn it around — by voting YES on the school levy, sanity on the library board — Meyer and McCrea, and by speaking up against the radical influx attempting a take over of the area.
