NIC SOFTBALL: Cardinals take two in home opener

COEUR d'ALENE — North Idaho College improved to 11-8 on the season with a 11-3 and 9-1 sweep of the visiting Wenatchee Valley Knights in a Northwest Athletic Conference doubleheader at Memorial Field on Thursday.

Further details were not available.

The games, previously scheduled for Saturday, were moved up to Thursday due to inclement weather expected in the area.

NIC and Wenatchee Valley are both 6-4 in conference.

NIC is scheduled to face Yakima Valley in a doubleheader on Tuesday.

Wenatchee Valley is scheduled to play Spokane today at Spokane Falls Community College.
