Carly Pearce to perform at North Idaho State Fair

| March 31, 2023 1:00 AM

Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Carly Pearce will perform Aug. 21 in the Findlay Arena to kick off the 2023 Party in the Dirt Concert Series at the North Idaho State Fair.

Pearce will heat up the stage and set the tone for an exciting concert series. With hits like “Never Wanted To Be That Girl," “Hide the Wine," “Next Girl” and her latest chart-topper, “What He Didn’t Do,” this is expected to be one of the most anticipated shows in the area.

“Our team finds such joy in bringing artists like Carly Pearce to our community," said Kootenai County Fairgrounds General Manager Alexcia Jordan, who is excited to make this final announcement for the Findlay Arena shows during the North Idaho State Fair.

She said for years, people have asking for a female country star to perform at the fair.

"We are thrilled to finally make that happen for our fair fans," Jordan said. "Kicking off our Party in the Dirt Concert Series with someone as talented as Carly Pearce is going to set the stage for an exceptional fair."

Pearce is known to be fiercely rooted in the classics. The girl who left her Kentucky home and high school at 16 to take a job at Dollywood has grown into a woman who embraces the genre’s forward progression. Honored as one of Country Music Television’s 2022 Artists of the Year, the 2021 Country Music Association Female Vocalist of the Year and reigning Academy of Country Music Awards Female Artist of the Year, Pearce is living out her childhood dream.

Concert tickets purchased online or before Aug. 18 will include fair admission. Hold onto tickets — they will scan one time at each location: the fair entrance and the arena entrance. For those who wait until the day of the show to get tickets, fair admission must be separately purchased.

“Acres of Fun” is the theme of the 2023 North Idaho State Fair, which will run Aug. 18-27.
