Letters From Home selects Kroc Center as official Idaho stop on 50-state tour

| March 24, 2023 1:00 AM

Coeur d’Alene will be the official Idaho stop for the national Letters From Home tour at 7 p.m. April 12 at the Kroc Center, 1765 W. Golf Course Road. Erinn Dearth and Dan Beckmann will be traveling the entire country from January to May 2023, performing one show in each of the United States as singing and dancing sensation Letters From Home.

“The show is high-energy and should make everyone smile,” Dearth said, “but it’s also a message of hope for a country that is a bit divided at the moment.”

The performer hopes that those who come to see the show will walk away with a song in their hearts and a new perspective on patriotism.

Beckmann will wear many hats, both performing in the show and using his background as an accomplished professional photographer to document the tour in a photo blog and direct a documentary of the 50-states tour.

Letters From Home was founded in 2010 by U.S. Coast Guard veteran Pat Dearth, featuring music from the soundtracks of WWII, Vietnam and beyond. This vaudevillian-style singing and tap-dancing duo has honored our veterans, active military heroes and their families by uniting the nation through music.

Since its inception, Letters From Home has performed over 900 shows across the country.

A nationwide tour has long been a dream of Dearths, co-founder of Letters From Home, and during the pandemic it became more of a calling than ever.

Myra Miller will serve as tour manager, and is the manager and founder of Footsteps Researchers, a global team of military researchers who help their clients retrace the footsteps of those who served in WWII.

“We want to pack the venues with young and old alike to share the fun of the energetic performances of Letters From Home!” Miller said.

All 50 venues across the United States have been secured for the tour and tickets are available now for $20 at kroccda.org/kroc-cda/events.
