Sixth annual free compost weekend scheduled

COEUR d'Alene - The city of Coeur d'Alene's sixth annual free compost weekend is scheduled 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 15 and 16 at 3500 N. Julia Street.

Bring your own shovels, buckets, trucks and trailers and take home compost for a head start on the growing season.

Coeur d'Green is a class "A" Exceptional Quality compost and has no application restrictions, the city said.

Coeur d'Alene has been composting biosolids since 1990.
