PRESS: Stands for our community

| March 12, 2023 1:00 AM

Steve Shamion’s March 8 LTE asked why The Press seems one sided. Perhaps you are unaware The Press has been our newspaper for more than 100 years. It is our local newspaper. It is a living part of our community and it stands for our community. And it is doing so now.

I’m sure you’re aware of the seemingly never ending list of lies, accusations, exaggerations and flat out horse apples coming from Bent Regan. He attacks virtually everything about Kootenai County; our people, our institutions, our traditions. His self-driven mission is to ruin everything that makes our area special.

I don’t know why The Press publishes his drivel on a weekly basis, but I’m delighted they have taken the side of my hometown. And I hope they keep it up until we rid ourselves of Regan and the terrible trio at NIC. There can’t be too many articles exposing their shenanigans.

If you have a problem with that, maybe you’re part of our community’s problem.
