NIC: Alternative solution

| March 12, 2023 1:00 AM

For 32 years, I was employed in administrative positions at Washington State University, The University of Illinois, The Evergreen State College and The University of Denver. My last 23 years at Evergreen and Denver, I was an active participant in Board of Trustees meetings. I have a thorough knowledge of how trustees should conduct themselves. The three trustees who are using their majority status to the detriment of NIC haven’t the slightest idea what their role should be. They are backed by the KCRCC who will undoubtedly continue to maintain that majority in the future as they continue to mislead the voters on the importance of education and training beyond the high school level.

My solution is for NIC to become the Coeur d’Alene or North Idaho Branch campus of the University of Idaho. It seems prudent that our North Idaho legislators will want to take the lead to make this happen.
