REGAN: It’s not common sense

Brent Regan really does live in his own version of reality. In North Idaho he admits to being overwhelmingly conservative, he blames the pending loss of accreditation of NIC on all the crazy liberals running our community college into the ground. (Opinion piece, Feb. 24).

Never mind the actions of the conservative Board of Trustees majority of McKenzie, Banducci and Waggoner, aided and abetted by the unqualified attorney Macomber. According to the NWCCU, the actions of these individuals are the reason for the threatened loss of accreditation. NIC is now paying the salaries of two presidents, plus the extra staff Dr. South brought along. South was hired by the board at a significantly higher salary than Dr. Swayne. Let alone paying moving costs for two presidents.

As to the trustee who was forced to resign by the liberal establishment, he seems to have forgotten that he was no longer a resident of Idaho and therefore not eligible to serve on the board.

The main threat to NIC is none other than Brent Regan himself. No, Brent it is not just common sense, it’s a bloody joke. And a bad one at that.
