FIREWORKS: Keep veterans and pets in mind

As we approach our nation’s birthday, I would like to encourage all to use fireworks carefully and responsibly. For some veterans of combat who suffer from shell shock and/or PTSD symptoms loud explosions can be a trigger. Oh, and let’s not forget our precious fur-babies who can be affected too by loud explosions. My advice to you is know your immediate surroundings and specifically who is around you in the vicinity when lighting off loud fireworks. Kudos to our CDA Fire Department who will echo this message as they always do every year.

Have fun, and enjoy, but please keep our veterans and pets in mind and heart when lighting off fireworks.

God bless you all and God bless our USA, a great country! We are so fortunate and have so much to be grateful for living in this great land … the USA… let's celebrate!
